प्रकृति द्वारा प्रदान की गई इस अमूल्य सौगात को मनुष्य संभाल नहीं पा रहा है। वह अपने स्वार्थ के लिए इसका अंधाधुंध दोहन कर रहा है और साथ ही इसे दूषित भी कर रहा है। इन सबके कारण धीरे-धीरे धरती पर पर्यावरण का संतुलन बिगड़ रहा है और धरती पर कई नई बीमारियों एवं आपदाओं का जन्म हो रहा है। मनुष्य की लापरवाही आगे आने वाली पीढ़ी के लिए धरती को रहने लायक ग्रह न बनाने पर मजबूर कर रही है। पर्यावरण के संतुलन में गड़बड़ी के कारण ही अस्वाभाविक मौसम परिवर्तन जैसे किसी वर्ष बहुत अधिक वर्षा तो किसी वर्ष बिलकुल सूखे की स्थिति, बहुत अधिक ठंड तो कभी बहुत अधिक गर्मी, भूकम्प जैसी स्थिति उत्पन्न हो जाती है। इस मौसम परिवर्तन का पूरे पर्यावरण पर प्रभाव पड़ता है जैसे कभी तो फसल ठीक हो जाती है पर कभी सारी बर्बाद, हर मौसम में नई-नई बीमारियाँ जन्म लेती हैं। खेती में रसायनों के अत्यधिक उपयोग के कारण मिट्टी के पोषक तत्व तो समाप्त हो ही रहे हैं, साथ ही साथ इनसे उगने वाली फसलों का खाकर इंसान बीमारियों का पुतला बनता जा रहा है। इससे पहले कि विज्ञान नई बीमारी का समाधान निकाले कोई दूसरी बीमारी ही जन्म ले लेती है। मनुष्य के स्वार्थ के चलते वायु, भूमि, जल सभी प्रदूषित होते जा रहे हैं और ऐसे पर्यावरण में स्वस्थ रहना तो मुश्किल बल्कि साँस लेना भी मुश्किल होता जा रहा है।

- जल प्रदूषण (Water Pollution) – कारखानों से निकलने वाला अशुद्ध जल और रासायनिक पदार्थ नदियों और समुद्र के जल मिलकर उसे प्रदूषित कर देता है। इस प्रदूषित जल को पीने से कई प्रकार की गम्भीर बीमारिया हो जाती है।
- ध्वनि प्रदूषण (Noise Pollution) – फैक्टरियों की मशीनरी से निकलने वाली आवाज ध्वनि प्रदूषण की जिम्मेदार है। वाहनों का अत्यधिक शौर भी ध्वनि प्रदूषण पैदा करता है। इससे इंसानो में बहरापन और तनाव पैदा होता है।

पर्यावरण प्रदूषण रोकने के उपाय से प्रदूषण को काफी हद तक कम किया जा सकता है। प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए सभी देशों को एकसाथ आना होगा। प्रदूषण रोकने के लिए कड़े नियम बनाने होंगे। ग्लोबल वार्मिंग भी एक समस्या है जो बढ़ते प्रदूषण से और भी गम्भीर हो रही है। इससे निपटने के लिए वायु प्रदूषण को रोकना जरूरी है। सामाजिक जागरूकता भी एक अच्छा उपाय हो सकता है। पर्यावरण प्रदूषण के गम्भीर खतरों से लोगो को अवगत कराना चाहिए। यह हमारी जिम्मेदारी और फर्ज है कि हम पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा करें। शिक्षा से भी प्रदूषण की समस्या से निजात पाया जा सकता है। बच्चो को स्कूली सिलेबस में पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक करना चाहिए। प्रकृति का महत्व बच्चो की शिक्षा में अनिवार्य होना चाहिए। फैक्टरियों से निकलने वाले धुंए और रासायनिक पदार्थ को वायु और जल में मिलने से रोकने के उपाय होने चाहिए। प्रदूषण का मानक तय होना चाहिए। ज्यादा से ज्यादा वृक्षारोपण करना चाहिए जिससे प्रदूषण की समस्या से निजात मिल सकती है। पेड़ लगाना पूण्य कमाने के समान है। हम स्वयं पर्यावरण को गंदा करते है और अस्वछता फैलाते है। यह हमारा दायित्व है कि हम स्वछता रखे। स्वच्छता बेहतर जीवन देती है। हर जगह कूड़ा कचरा डाल दिया जाता है। यह कूड़ा पानी मे मिलकर उसे प्रदूषित करता है। कचरे के प्रदूषक हवा में मिलकर इसे प्रदूषित करते है।
पृथ्वी की सुंदरता को बनाये रखने की जिम्मदारी हमारी है। धरती को प्रदूषण मुक्त करना हमारा कर्तव्य है। प्रकृति का संतुलन बनाये रखने का दायित्व भी हमारा है। प्रदूषण फैलाने के जिम्मेदार हम खुद है और इसको कम करना भी हमारे ऊपर ही है।
पर्यावरण पर निबन्ध – Environment Essay in Hindi (detailed in 2000 words)
अंग्रेजी भाषा का शब्द “Environment” फ्रेंच शब्द ‘Environ’ से बना है । Environ का आशय आस – पास के आवरण से है । हिन्दी में Environment को पर्यावरण कहते है। ‘पर्यावरण’ शब्द दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है। परि + आवरण = पर्यावरण। अर्थात् चारों ओर विद्यमान आवरण। पर्यावरण का अर्थ उन सभी प्राकृतिक दशाओं एवं वस्तुओं से लिया जाता है जो हमारे चरों ओर व्याप्त हैं। ये वस्तुएँ हैं – पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु, वनस्पति व जीव – जन्तु।
इन सब प्राकृतिक पदार्थों का प्रभाव मानव के भोजन, वस्त्र, मकान, पेय जल तथा व्यवसायों आदि पर पड़ता है। यही नहीं, शास्त्रों व स्वास्थ्य-विज्ञान के अनुसार, मानव के शरीर की रचना भी इन्हीं पाँच तत्वों (पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु व वनस्पति) से मिलकर हुई है। इन पाँच प्राकृतिक तत्वों के बल पर ही हम जीते हैं और जब हम मरते हैं तो हमारा यह शरीर भी इन्हीं पाँचों तत्वों में विलीन हो जाता है। क्योंकि मरने पर यदि यह शरीर कब्र में दफन होता है तो पृथ्वी से मिल जाता है और दाह-संस्कार होने पर पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु व वनस्पति तत्वों में विलीन हो जाता है।
पर्यावरण के इन तत्वों के कारण अथवा सन्तुलित पर्यावरण के कारण ही पृथ्वी एक जीवित ग्रह है और पर्यावरण के इन तत्वों के अभाव में अथवा असन्तुलन के कारण ही चन्द्रमा पर जीवन नहीं है।
जिस पृथ्वी पर हम निवास करते हैं, सम्पूर्ण सौर जगत में उसे ही यह सौभाग्य प्राप्त है कि पर्यावरण के सभी तत्वों की विद्यमानता के कारण यहाँ जीवन है, अन्यथा सौर जगत में अन्य ग्रहों पर जीवन के प्रमाण अभी तक उपलब्ध नहीं हैं। पर्यावरण के ये सभी तत्व एक-दूसरे पर प्रभाव डालते हैं और विकसित होते रहते हैं। सभी जीव जन्तु भी इसी “पर्यावरण” के अंग हैं और मानव तो इस पर्यावरण की सर्वश्रेष्ठ रचना है।
हम जीते हैं तो इन्हीं पाँच तत्वों (प्राकृतिक पदार्थों) से हमारा पोषण होता है और हमारी सारी आवश्यकताएँ भी इन्हीं के माध्यम से पूरी होती हैं। स्पष्ट है कि पर्यावरण के इन प्राकृतिक अंगो का मानव के जीवन में भारी महत्व है।
पर्यावरण की परिभाषाएँ (Environment Definition in Hindi)
कुछ प्रमुख विद्वानों द्वारा दी गई ‘पर्यावरण’ की परिभाषाएँ इस प्रकार दी हैं –
(1) प्रसिद्ध अमेरिकन विद्वान हर्सकोविट्स (Harskovits) के शब्दों में, “पर्यावरण उन समस्त बाहरी दशाओं और प्रभावों का योग है जो प्रत्येक प्राणी के जीवन और विकास को प्रभावित करते हैं।”
(2) प्रसिद्ध जर्मन भूगोलवेत्ता ए फिटिंग के शब्दों में, “जीव की पारिस्थिति के समस्त तत्व या घटक (factors) मिलकर पर्यावरण कहलाते हैं।”
(3) प्रसिद्ध विद्वान तांसले के अनुसार, “चारों ओर पाई जाने वाली परिस्थितियों के उस समूह (set of surroundings) से है जो मानव के जीवन व उसकी क्रियाओं पर प्रभाव डालती हैं।
पर्यावरण के क्षेत्र अंग तत्व सन्साधन – Components of Environment in Hindi
पर्यावरण के अंगो या संसाधनों को निम्नलिखित 4 भागों में बाँटा जा सकता है –
(1) स्थल मण्डल (Lithosphere) पर्यावरण के इस क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत पृथ्वी की रचना, उसकी विभिन्न आकृतियाँ, मिट्टी तथा चट्टानें, आन्तरिक व बाह्य शक्तियों द्वारा पृथ्वी के तल पर किये जाने वाले परिवर्तन, नदी हिमनदी, वायु, भूमिगत जल, उर्जा तथा मानव-जीवन पर पड़ने वाले उनके प्रभावों को सम्मिलित किया जाता है।
(2) वायुमण्डल (Atmosphere) वायुमण्डल पर्यावरण का दूसरा प्रमुख क्षेत्र या अंग है। इसके अंतर्गत वायुमण्डल की बनावट, जलवायु व उसके तत्व, सूर्यताप, तापमान, वायुदाब विभिन्न प्रकार की पवनें, बादल व वर्षा के प्रकार, चक्रवात व प्रतिचक्रवात, जलवायु के विभिन्न प्रकार तथा इन सब तत्वों के मानव जीवन पर उनका प्रभाव सम्मिलित किया जाता है।
(3) जलमण्डल (Hydrosphere) जलमण्डल पर्यावरण का तीसरा प्रमुख क्षेत्र है जिसके अंतर्गत नदियाँ, महासागर, सागर, खाड़ियाँ, महासगरों के जल में तापमान व लवणता की मात्रा तथा उसके कारण, महासागरों के जल की गतियाँ, जैसे लहरें धाराएँ व ज्वारभाटा तथा समीपवर्ती क्षेत्रों तथा वहाँ के मानव जीवन पर उनका प्रभाव सम्मिलित किया जाता है।
(4) जैवमण्डल (Biosphere) जैवमण्डल पर्यावरण का चौथा तथा सबसे महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्र है जो अन्य तीन क्षेत्रों से प्रभावित होता है तथा उन्हें प्रभावित भी करता है। जैव मण्डल क्षेत्र में (i) वनस्पति – उसके प्रकार, विशेषताएँ व वितरण, (ii) विभिन्न प्रकार के जीव जन्तु व मनुष्य, (iii) वनस्पति व जीव – जंतुओं का जलवायु से सहसम्बन्ध, (iv) पर्यावरण का असंतुलन, उससे संबंधित समस्याएँ व उसके निराकरण को सम्मिलित किया जाता है।
पर्यावरण के उपर्युक्त चार क्षेत्रों में जैवमण्डल क्षेत्र का सर्वप्रमुख अंग मानव है जो इन चारों ही क्षेत्रों से प्रभावित होता है तथा अपनी पूर्णशक्ति से उन्हें प्रभावित, नियन्त्रित एवं परिवर्तित भी करता है। पर्यावरण के अंतर्गत मानव को केन्द्र-बिन्दु मानकर इन चारों ही क्षेत्रों की क्रियाओं तथा अन्त:क्रियाओं का अध्ययन किया जाता है।
पर्यवरण में असन्तुलन व प्रदूषण
प्रकृति और मानव का सम्बन्ध आदि काल से रहा है। प्रकृति अथवा पर्यावरण के सभी घटक (जल, वायु, मृदा, खनिज, पेड़-पौधे, जीव-जन्तु व मानव आदि) अपने प्राकृतिक क्रिया-कलापों से वातावरण को स्वच्छ रखने का प्रयास करते हैं।
पर्यावरण के प्रत्येक घटक के अन्दर भी उसके अलग – अलग तत्व होते हैं। पर्यावरण के ये घटक अथवा उनके तत्व अपना प्राकृतिक सन्तुलन बनाये रखते हुए मानव के लिए स्वच्छ व सन्तुलित वातावरण प्रदान करते हैं।
किन्तु जब मानव की विकासात्मक क्रियाओं के परिणामस्वरूप प्रकृति के घटकों अथवा उनके तत्वों का सन्तुलन बिगड़ जाता है तो उससे सम्पूर्ण पर्यावरण में ही उथल-पुथल हो जाती है। तब कहा जाता है कि पर्यावरण में असन्तुलन तथा प्रदूषण बढ़ रहा है। इस असन्तुलन से प्रकृति की क्रियाओं में अवरोध उत्पन्न होने लगता है और प्रकृति क्रोधित हो उठती है।
पर्यावरणीय प्रदूषण क्या है ? पर्यावरण प्रदूषण मानवीय क्रियाओं से जल, वायु, एवं मृदा की भौतिक, रासायनिक एवं जैविक विशेषताओं में होने वाला वह अवान्छनीय परिर्वतन है जो मनुष्य, पौधों, अन्य जन्तुओं तथा उनके वातावरण आदि को न केवल हानि पहुँचाता है बल्कि उनके अस्तित्व को भी संकट में डाल देता है।
पर्यावरण प्रदूषण के प्रकार – Kinds of Environmental Pollution in Hindi
मानव को आज जिस प्रकार के प्रदूषण के संकट का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, उनमें निम्नलिखित प्रमुख हैं –
(1) जल प्रदूषण (Water Pollution)
(2) वायु प्रदूषण (Air Pollution)
(३) मृदा प्रदूषण (Soil Pollution)
(4) ध्वनि प्रदूषण (Sound Pollution)
(5) रेडियोधर्मी प्रदूषण (Radio-active Pollution)
(6) खाद्य प्रदूषण (Food Pollution)
पर्यावरण-प्रदूषण की प्रक्रिया व उदाहरण
पर्यावरण मानव की सभी क्रियाओं पर प्रभाव डालता है। इसीलिये कहा जाता है कि मनुष्य अपनी प्राकृतिक परिस्थितियों की उपज है। मनुष्य का भोजन, वस्त्र व मकान आदि सब प्राकृतिक परिस्थितियों के अनुसार ही होते हैं। किन्तु दूसरी ओर मनुष्य भी अपनी क्रियाओं से वातावरण को प्रभावित करता है। उदहारण के लिए, मनुष्य ने नदियों पर बाँध बनाकर बिजली पैदा की। सिंचाई द्वारा मरुस्थल में भी खेती की। वनों को साफ कर नगर बसाये। अपनी सूझ – बूझ से सीढ़ीदार खेत बनाकर उसने पहाड़ों पर भी खेती कर दिखाई। उसने तीव्र गर्मी को कूलर द्वारा ठंड में और तीव्र ठंड को हीटर द्वारा गर्मी में बदल दिया।
किन्तु जब मानव सीमा का अतिक्रमण करता है और पर्यावरण के संसाधन की कमी होने के बावजूद उसके स्वास्थ्य व सन्तुलन का ध्यान न रखते हुए उसका दोहन जारी रखता है तो इससे पर्यावरण के उस घटक का ह्रास होने लगता है और उसकी क्रियाशीलता घट जाती है तथा पर्यावरण असन्तुलित हो जाता है।
उदाहरण के लिए, यदि तीव्र गति से बढ़ती हुई जनसंख्या की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए मानव मिट्टी का असीमित उपयोग बढ़ाता चला जाए और उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए रासायनिक खादों व कीटनाशक का अनियंत्रित प्रयोग करता रहे तो एक दिन स्थिति वह आ सकती है कि मिट्टी का कस ही निकल जाए, उसकी उत्पादकता व गुणवत्ता घट जाए तथा वह बाँझ व ऊसर हो जाए।
मानवीय क्रियाओं का अधिक दबाव पड़ने के कारण पर्यावरण के घटकों का ह्रास होने लगता है। उनकी क्रियाशीलता घट जाती है जिससे मानव की मूलभूत आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति में बाधा पड़ती है।
इसीलिए मार्क्स ने कहा था कि, “प्रकृति के प्रति मानव के शत्रुतापूर्ण व्यवहार से ही पर्यावरण का ह्रास होता है। यदि पर्यावरण के साथ सहयोग व संयम का व्यवहार किया जाए तो छोटी – मोटी क्षति को तो प्रकृति स्वयं ही पूरा कर लेती है।”
महात्मा गाँधी ने कहा था कि, “प्रकृति हमारी आवश्यकताओं को तो पूरा कर सकती है किन्तु हमारे लालच को नहीं।”
पर्यावरण का मानव जीवन पर प्रभाव
पर्यावरण के संसाधन या घटक जितने स्वच्छ व निर्मल होंगे, उतना ही हमारा शरीर तथा मन स्वच्छ तथा स्वस्थ होगा। इसलिए हमारे ऋषि – मुनियों ने हजारों वर्ष पूर्व कहा था कि “प्रकृति हमारी माँ है जो सभी कुछ अपने बच्चों को अर्पण कर देती है।”
चाणक्य ने कहा था कि “राज्य की स्थिरता पर्यावरण की स्वच्छता पर निर्भर करती है।”
औषधि विज्ञान के आदि गुरु चरक ने कहा था कि “स्वस्थ जीवन के लिए शुद्ध वायु, जल तथा मिट्टी आवश्यक कारक हैं।”
महाकवि कालिदास ने ‘अभिज्ञान शाकुन्तलम‘ तथा ‘मेघदूत‘ जैसे अमर काव्यों में भी मन पर पर्यावरण के प्रभाव को दर्शाया है।
लेकमार्क तथा डार्विन जैसे सुविख्यात वैज्ञानिकों ने भी पर्यावरण को जीवों के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण कारक माना है।
अत: यदि पर्यावरण या प्राकृतिक वातावरण प्रदूषित होता है तो उसका प्रतिकूल प्रभाव जीव जगत पर निश्चित ही पड़ेगा। आज के भौतिक विचारधारा के कारण अपनी सुख – सुविधा के साधनों में अधिकाधिक वृद्धि की लालसा में मनुष्य मानो पर्यावरण या प्राकृतिक सम्पदाओं की लूट पर उतर आया है। इसी बेदर्द और अविवेकपूर्ण दोहन का परिणाम है ‘पर्यावरण प्रदूषण’।
पर्यावरण-प्रदूषण विज्ञान और प्रोद्योगिकी की देन है, महानगरीय जीवन की सौगात है,विशाल उद्योगों की समृद्धि का बोनस है, मानव को मृत्यु के मुँह में धकेलने की अनचाही चेष्टा है। रोगों को शरीर में प्रवेश करने का मौन निमंत्रण है, और प्राणीमात्र के अमंगल की अप्रत्यक्ष कामना है।
ऑक्सीजन जीवन के लिए अत्यन्त आवश्यक है क्योंकि श्वसन के लिये सभी जीवों द्वारा इसका उपयोग किया जाता है। किन्तु पर्यावरण-प्रदूषण के कारण पिछले 100 वर्षों में लगभग 24 लाख टन ऑक्सीजन वायुमण्डल से समाप्त हो चुकी है और उसकी जगह 36 लाख टन कार्बनडाई-ऑक्साइड गैस ले चुकी है जिसके कारण तामपान बढ़ रहा है।
जून 1988 में 48 देशों के 300 वैज्ञानिकों ने टोरेन्टो सम्मेलन में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के विषय पर विचार – विमर्श किया तथा पर्यावरण के प्रदूषण और बदलाव के विषय में विश्व को चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि “पर्यावरण-प्रदूषण से मौसम का बदलाव, अत्यधिक गर्मी, सूखा, पानी की कमी, बर्फीली चोटियों का पिघलना, समुद्र का जलस्तर ऊँचा उठना जिससे समुद्र तट के पास बसे शहरों में बाढ़ आना आदि खतरे उत्पन्न होंगे जिनका प्रभाव फसलों पर बुरा होगा तथा शारीरिक विकार व रोगों में बृद्धि होगी और वह मानव-जीवन की विनाश-लीला का प्रारम्भ होगा।”
सत्य भी है यदि सांस लेने को शुद्ध हवा न मिले, पीने को स्वच्छ जल न मिले, उसका भोजन ही प्रदूषित हो जाये तो सारा आर्थिक विकास और औद्योगिक प्रगति किस काम की।
अत: हमें यह अवश्य सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि विकास कार्यों से पर्यावरण सन्तुलन को क्षति न पहुँचे, क्योंकि इस प्रकार की क्षति से न केवल विकास की गति अवरुद्ध होगी, बल्कि भोजन, वस्त्र ईंधन, चारे और आश्रय के लिये पर्यावरण पर निर्भर रहने वाले प्राणियों की गरीबी व अभावों में और अधिक बृद्धि होगी।
मानव-जाति ने प्रकृति पर पिछले दौर में जो अत्याचार किये हैं, अब प्रकृति ने भी बड़े बेरहमी से उनका बदला लेना शुरू कर दिया है। भारत का भोपाल गैस काण्ड तथा रूस का चेर्नोबिल गैस काण्ड इसके भयावह उदाहरण है।
निश्चय ही, “हवा, पानी और मिट्टी में दिन-रात घुलते जा रहे प्रदूषण के जहर ने आज विश्व को उस मुकाम पर लाकर खड़ा कर दिया है, जहाँ से आगे तबाही के सिवा कुछ नहीं है।”
